When poison is delivered gradually over a long time, like the poisons in cigarettes for example, the effects are not noticed until the end when the lungs and arteries are consumed. Same has been, and continues to be, in society. I think Orwell get it spot on, only how this current reality has manifested has been quite insidious. We are living like Truman Burbank only we’re not waking the fuck up to it. Not en masse anyway.

Huxley got it right too. The datafication of society keeps us occupied, sedated, amused, while the controllers drop bombs and convince us we’re under attack. It’s a crazy society we’ve built. It can’t last. I think we’ll eventually consume ourselves… please God.
